Privacy Policy
About this policy
This policy describes how the POGAMES website handles information when you browse, play games, create an account, contact us or use AI features. It covers this website, not the separate privacy practices of third-party games or linked websites.
Accounts and contact information
When you register or maintain an account, we process your email address, username or display name, profile information you provide, account status and registration details. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords. Account verification and password recovery use tokens. We use account information to authenticate you, maintain your profile and send necessary account or security messages. If you contact us, we process your name, email address, subject, message and any other information you choose to include to respond to your request.
Cookies and technical information
Session cookies support sign-in, security checks and preferences such as the light or dark theme. A language cookie may remember your language selection. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking them may prevent account and other session-based features from working. Registration and sign-in records include IP addresses and timestamps. Our hosting infrastructure may also keep basic access and error logs, including IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and request times, to operate the website, diagnose problems and help prevent abuse.
Gameplay, ratings and reports
We record game play counts and play activity. For signed-in users, game history and like or dislike ratings may be associated with the account. We use this information to provide account history, ratings and game discovery. When you report a game, we store the game identifier, report reason, details you submit, submission time and a hashed session-based identifier used to limit duplicate or abusive reports. This identifier is not a promise of anonymity. Please do not include sensitive personal information in report details.
AI game creation and AI-assisted blog posts
If you use AI game creation, the game description you submit is sent to OpenAI to generate game content. Submitted descriptions and generated game records are stored to provide and manage this feature, including usage limits. Published titles, game code and creator usernames are visible to other visitors. Your account password and private API settings are not included in game-generation prompts. Do not put passwords, API keys, private documents or other secrets in descriptions or game content.
When an administrator uses AI-assisted blog generation, game metadata such as the title, description, instructions and category is sent to OpenAI to draft an article. These articles are reviewed and may be published on the website. OpenAI processes submitted information under its own applicable terms and privacy practices; its retention and processing may differ from ours. AI output may be inaccurate, so do not rely on it as a source of verified facts.
Third-party games, service providers and optional features
Some games are embedded from third-party providers. Loading or playing them can send your IP address, browser information and gameplay interactions to those providers, and their games may use cookies or similar storage under their own privacy policies. External links are governed by the destination website's practices. Hosting, email delivery and AI providers process information needed to provide their services. External advertising, analytics or live chat services may process device, cookie and usage information if the site operator enables them. Their collection depends on the services enabled and your choices; we do not guarantee that playing a game involves no third-party data collection.
Use, retention and protection
We use information to deliver and maintain the website, administer accounts and games, respond to messages and reports, improve reliability and protect against misuse. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, account administration, security and applicable legal obligations. Retention can differ for account records, gameplay, reports, correspondence, logs, AI records and backups; third-party providers set their own retention practices. We use safeguards such as password hashing, access restrictions and session protections, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information may be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Your choices and privacy requests
Use your account settings to review or update available profile information and your browser settings to manage cookies. To ask about your information, request access, correction or deletion, or raise another privacy concern, use the Contact page and its available contact options. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may need to be retained for security or legal reasons. Do not send your password or other secrets with a request.
Children
This website is not intended for children under 13 to use without a parent or guardian. If you are under 13, do not create an account or submit personal information without your parent or guardian's involvement. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information should contact us through the Contact page so we can review and address it.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy when the website or its practices change. Please review this page periodically. For questions about this policy or privacy requests, visit the Contact page.
